Welcome to my blog! I’m so happy you’re here. My name is Molly Miller. I am currently a junior at the University of Oregon, majoring in public relations with a minor in sociology. I have consistently demonstrated academic excellence by maintaining a 3.81 GPA and earning Dean’s List recognition for all but one term. Throughout my time at the UO, I have taken a boatload of courses that have helped me develop a hands-on understanding of the PR and communications fields.
My passion lies in effective, open communication and ethical leadership – that’s why I’m actively involved within the Delta Gamma sorority. I’m the Vice President of Social Standards and Chairman of the Honor Board; these roles allow me to navigate crisis situations, give every member a voice and promote responsible behavior through fairness and accountability. I believe in fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels respected. As Vice President of Social Standards, I plan, manage and oversee all events and formals for the sorority. In this role, I’ve honed my communication, organizational skills and member safety. As Chairman of the Honor Board, I take member feedback to heart and have transformed the process from intimidating to supportive. I’ve implemented feedback sessions and revised reporting guidelines, encouraging more trust and engagement with the board.
My sociology studies fuel my desire to use my PR skills for social justice and bridge communication gaps within diverse communities. I’m excited to apply my experience and values within a public relations role, especially with organizations focused on crisis management and ethical practices.
